is it winter already?
It just got really cold in Okayama suddenly. Two days ago, it was maybe in the 60s, dropping down to the mid-50s at night and in the morning, but today, the high was 53°F and the low will be 44°F. Riding my bike to the station today was freezing, especially without gloves (I didn't realize that my nice leather gloves had been dryell'ed until last week, but suffice it to say that they don't fit anymore...). Good thing my trip to the station included buying gloves. I don't think I've ever been as happy about buying an article of clothing as I was about those gloves on my way back (it's only about a 10 minute bike ride, but still).
In other news, I joined Nanowrimo again this year. I wasn't going to, but right before the end of the first day of November, I decided to just do it. I'm pretty on track so far to finish on schedule--I've done the minimum needed every day so far--but I haven't done much more. I also haven't really had work since I started Nano, because I didn't really start until Thursday, and Friday was a national holiday, and Saturday and Sunday were training, and I had yesterday and today off (since I technically didn't get Sunday off because of training). So it'll be interesting to see if I can keep up the pace when I actually have work, too. I'd worked out a schedule on Thursday for the days when I have work and can't just sit around and try to make my 1667 words, but I've only been able to use it on Thursday, so I don't know if it'll be realistic for where I am in my novel now.
